Sthira Sukham Asanam

Sthira – Stability

Sukha – Sweet

Asanam – Pose

With these words in mind, is your practice sweet and steady?

By connecting your mind to your breath and letting your breath control your movements, you can focus on what you are doing AND how you are doing it.

Bringing deliberate attention to your mind, breath, and body will allow all three to be steady and sweet as you progress through all aspects of your life, taking you deeper into your Self.  This mindfulness to your individual practice can help you achieve a meditative state that will allow you to get lost in exploration.

Without trying, you may also find that your life will also become more sweet and steady.  Becoming more mindful in all aspects of your life.

Much Love

Panel 1

Born and raised on a small farm in eastern Nebraska, Frank’s mom instilled in him compassion and kindness for the earth and all living beings.  He was raised with a grounded, practical approach to life that shines through in his classes.

Frank took his first yoga class on August 7, 2013, and he was immediately hooked.  The attention to breath, combined with movement and the meditative aspect of focusing on the body was like nothing he had consciously experienced before.  The connection to his Self that he experienced kept him coming back and is why he fell in love with the practice of yoga.

Frank spent 19 years as an executive assistant, and several years taking care of his beloved mother.  Following the passing of his mother in November of 2015, Frank started 2016 by taking time to reconnect to himself and focus on his goal of becoming a certified yoga instructor.  He achieved that goal and graduated in June of 2016.

Most recently, he has partnered with Denise Muller to create Sutra Yoga & Meditation in Omaha, Nebraska.  They feel across the world people are waking up to the power of meditation and mindfulness in daily wellbeing.  Sutra exists to empower people with effective tools to navigate life in a busy modern world. Sutra is a community focused on spirituality, personal growth, and ethical living – offering classes in movement and stillness all geared toward enhancing your personal journey.

Frank hopes to share with his fellow yoga practitioners the experience of becoming more mindful, self-aware, and allow their experience on the mat carry through to every aspect of their daily lives.

In March of 2017 he studied with Judith Hanson-Lasater and earned his Relax and Renew® Level I certification.  He is also a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS).
